Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe right. Jerred and Kimmie met on Hinge—yes, that part of the internet where you hope for sparks and pray you don’t end up in a true crime documentary. Lucky for us, we matched.

Our first conversations were filled with funny videos, random memes, and late-night texts that kept us both up way too late. Who knew those “LOL”s and “LMAO”s would turn into something real?

A month later, we had our first date at Terry’s Terrace. Kimmie thought Jerred was a little quiet at first, but warm, welcoming, and—let’s be honest—pretty easy on the eyes. Plus, that sarcastic edge of his had her laughing (and rolling her eyes, but mostly laughing). Jerred thought Kimmie was refreshingly open and totally herself—no filter, no pretending. Just real, and absolutely beautiful for it.

After a brief hug and quick wave goodbye, neither of us had any idea what was ahead. Kimmie, still learning how to balance the dating world as a single mom, wasn’t sure if Jerred knew what he was signing up for. But Jerred never flinched—he stepped right in with full superhero energy and never looked back. He’s been making her laugh, lending his support, and willingly sacrificing his fries ever since.

The moment Kimmie knew Jerred was “the one” came when her daughter Piper stayed over at Jerred’s with the two of them for the first time. Piper had trouble falling asleep, so Kimmie laid down on the floor next to her. A few minutes later, Jerred walked in—not with a nod or a “good luck,” but with a pillow. He gently lifted Kimmie’s head, tucked the pillow underneath, and laid down beside them. That small gesture said everything. In that quiet moment, she knew: this man wasn’t just in it for her. He was in it for them.

Jerred’s “this is the one” moment came during their second date—nothing dramatic, just Kimmie demolishing a burger like she hadn't eaten in days. With a stunned look, he said, “Wow, you really don’t care, do you?” And with that signature sass, Kimmie replied, “Nope. I really don’t.” And that was it. Jerred knew—this was his person.

Since then, we’ve been building a life full of laughter, late-night talks, inside jokes, and endless sarcasm. We’ve weathered the ups and downs, grown stronger together, and embraced every messy, beautiful moment of our journey.

When we got engaged, we thought we were just planning a wedding and preparing to say "I Do," but life had bigger plans. Since then, we’ve bought our first home together, and most exciting of all, we are welcoming our second daughter, Delilah, into the world. We just know she cannot wait to meet you all on our families big day. Piper is now in proud big sister mode, and our hearts (and hands!) are fuller than ever.

It’s been a whirlwind of change, love, and growth—all before we’ve even said “I do.” We’re so excited to officially start this next chapter, surrounded by all of you who’ve been with us through every step of the way. We can’t wait to celebrate, laugh, maybe cry a little, and begin the rest of forever—together.
